Lab containers in the antarctic

Hidden in ice and snow..... the lab container in the antarctic.
ECCT restructured and assembled a 10’ + 20’ container, with the 10’ container serving as climatic airlock. In this high-technology container, atmosphere scientists research the chemical transformation processes in the troposphere and stratosphere.
  • Walling with reinforced creased sheets and PUR foam. The insulation has a k factor of under 0.3 W/mēK
  • Built-in freezing room doors and low-temperature windows
  • Shelving system with a high loading capacity
  • Snowstorm-proof ventilation system
  • Full CSC certification
  • 10’ container as climatic airlock with connecting locks, melt-water proof
  • Because of the extreme weather conditions, a special conservation and corrosion prevention process was applied
